Forgot your password? There will be cases where you will want to equip a worse piece just because you got a good Corruption benefit on it. Now, there definitely are cases where specific gear can be best in slot. For example, some trinkets have special effects that are extremely powerful, and you will want to seek them out regardless of item level. Sometimes there are rings that have special effects that out-weigh item level increases or the benefit of specific secondary stats.

As a general rule of thumb, any increase in item level is an upgrade. For Protection Warriors, the value of all the secondary stats is close enough together that you should only look at what secondary stats a piece has if you are comparing across the same item level.

Not only that, Stamina and Strength increases are important as well. All in all, if you come across gear that is an item level upgrade or has a socket and your current piece does not or has a very good Corruption effectequip it. If two pieces of gear are the same item level, equip the best piece according to the stat priority.

Finally, be aware of gear where the item level does not matter as much, which is the case for certain trinkets, gear with special effects, etc. The above guidelines do not apply to Azerite gear that is, the helm, shoulder, and chest slots.

The following list has the most noteworthy trinkets available for survivability assuming equal item level.

The craftable Alchemy trinkets such as Ascended Alchemist Stone are decent alternatives if you are having trouble obtaining the above trinkets. These require that you have Alchemy as a profession to equip. Lingering Psychic Shell is a trinket that needs a separate section about it. This provides you with a strong damage reduction cooldown that lasts for either 8 seconds or until the absorb is broken. The absorb itself is further increased if you are inside Ny'alotha. If there are multiple attacks in a row you should remember to keep an eye on the absorb still left on the trinket.

Void-Twisted Titanshard provides you with Versatilitya small absorb shield and increases your Critical Strike chance by a lot while the shield persists. While the Critical Strike increase is very good the shield unfortunately is broken with a couple of hits meaning that you do not gain a lot out of this effect.Sword and Shield are an extension of his arms, and while his shield grants a high level of defense, he uses it beyond such capabilities.

Like his sword, it is a deadly weapon, which can immobilize his foes, knock them to the ground, or sweep them out of his way. Combined with the lethal edge of his sword and ability to speed across the battlefield to engage and slice down foes, the Warrior is a force of nature unto himself. With his Awakening, the Warrior trades some of the defense granted by his shield, for the raw power of the Goyen Greatsword.

Capping Grapple Resistance ensures that when you Block, you will be very difficult to be forced out of it. And that is true, while on Guard, any Knockdown taken from the front will be resisted.

Knockback is good for multiple reasons.

First it allows your Block to be broken and for you to have some resistance to enable escaping. Second, in a GvG, you charge into and engage on people they will throw knockdown at you for peels; now when you are in any of your charges you are immune. But the second you land you will be hit, and the Knockdown Resistance is for that, it is there to allow you to land out of a charge and then Ground Smash, Grab, or Scars of Dusk.

Stamina: Forward Slash canceling is our best for of mobility that we can use whenever I save my Guarded Charges for engaging. Crit: The lowest priority, and can simple be ignored without much of a negative impact. And for most people, it is worth ignoring. Crit should only really be looked out if you have a Liverto Longsword. Crit only affects two abilities in a meaningful way, Ground Smash and Forward Slash, and while either of those critting in PvP is useful its bonus is mostly seen in PvE.

Liverto or Ultimate Yuria You can argue what is better all you want, I am going Ultimate Yuria because getting a Liverto to Drop or trying to buy one became to frustrating. Bheg Gloves: This is your Priority. But it is more expensive due to the Crystal.

Keep your Vangertz for World Bosses as those 5 mil as of now will break. Giath Helmet: After Bheg Gloves, or before if you random happen on it, this Helmet should be your Priority as it allows you to keep your Grunil Health 2pc and replace a now useless helm. Kalis is best for RS pushing, but…. Bares outgrinds any weapon against non-human targets. But — a weak Renown Score. Pure DP options : Available to a few classes. Not bad, but only really good in niche scenarios certain pvp scenarios, certain mob types…. If you use crystals worth millions it may come close.

In grinding — this is irrelevant! Other weapon types?? Luckily Black Desert has systems in place to make leveling alts very easy. Remember : You can pass down armor to alts, too.

Black Abyssal Weapon : Is great for leveling alts to get inventory slots from the main story quest. Liverto : I honestly cannot personally recommend this. It handily beats any of the green weapons at equal upgrade tiers, at the expense of the sheer cost of MONEY. Hand-me-downs : For example you want to level an alt for boss hunting near Heidel, and you main a Valkyrie — simply passing your Longsword to your Warrior alt while leveling is a perfectly valid option.

Thank god for no soulbound, ey? Yuria is great for PVP and human grinding — by quite a margin. The restriction however, is not something a lot of people are willing to suffer. Mainhand: Bareswith Kalis as backup. Offhand : Accuracywith Pure AP as a side-project.

While it does have fantastic accuracy and could be appropriately paired with either the accuracy or AP subweapon its scarcity is going to be a problem with regards to durability recovery after failed upgrades. It's not just a question of Kutum vs. Nouver -- there are actually three other sub-weapons that can compete with them. They are:. Every other class can pick either a Kutum, Nouver, pure AP, or evasion sub-weapon. For grinding, Kutum is the best-in-slot sub-weapon for every class in the game simply because of the massive AP bonus it provides against monsters -- the fact that this bonus AP also circumvents the AP caps that some mobs have is just icing on the cake.

An accuracy off-weapon might also work as a suitable replacement for a Nouver, though that mostly depends on how much you need the accuracy and whether or not a Nouver pushes you past any relevant AP caps.

Things get a little more complicated when it comes to BDO PvP, as all five of the aforementioned sub-weapons have their niches. Monsters is rendered useless in PvP, it still provides higher raw stats than arguably any other sub-weapon in the game, making it an excellent choice for all styles of PvP. Still, you won't be able to take advantage of your strengthened Special Attacks if you can't land a CC in the first place. For example, Warriors and Mystics are notoriously difficult to CC, or maybe you find that your attacks are easily blocked classes without a grab may have this problem -- Nouver's niche is in pushing damage through forward guards and super armors.

Lastly are the evasion sub-weapons. If you're running an evasion, there's really no choice to be made here. Kutum may be the best all-around sub-weapon, but in the end, there's a decent selection of options for PvP. And don't forget, if you're having trouble choosing between one, you can swap between sub-weapons on the fly for specific match-ups by quickslotting them! You should really adapt the guide and follow your own instincts to match your play-style! They use a long sword as their primary weapon and a shield as their secondary weapon. The Valkyrie class is the female counter class to the Warrior but Valkyre has more of a supportive skill set, while Warriors are are closer to a knight.

The Warrior class has some blocks and taunts, but the vast majority of their skill set is offensive attacks. The Warrior class is fairly easy to play for newcomers because of their high defense and decent sustain. But to really master this class you will need lots of practice and to learn when to use your blocks and when to attack.

Warriors excel in solo PvP and are still just above average in group PvP because of their survivability and zoning. In group PvP you want to make sure you are not in grabbing distance of another class unless you are ready to block it or grab them yourself.

The build below is a well-rounded build for players who are level 55 or higher. It uses a total of Skill Points. Click here to view the build. Slash [LMB]. This is your auto attack skill. Charging Slash [LMB] whilst sprinting. This skill can be used whilst sprinting to perform an instant slash. Forward Slash will lunge you toward a target and swing at them. This skill costs stamina instead of fury. It deals more damage than Slash and is a better way of restoring fury if you are low.

This skill will strafe you to the side as well as swinging your sword in that direction. This skill will quickly regenerate your fury at the cost of your current health.

Ground Roar is an AoE ground slam which will pull enemies towards you and reduce their armor. This is a good skill for pulling monsters at the beginning of your combos. Fitness Training Passive. This skill is your passive.

It will increase your maximum health and also gives you higher defense. Kick [F]. Your basic kick will turn into a chop kick when leveled up. This kick will cause you to lunge forwards towards a target and stun them. This skill is often used in your combos and Warriors are one of the only classes I would recommend maxing the kick.

Charging Thrust is one of your best mobility skills for Warrior. Quick Charging Thrust [W].Warriors are skilled fighters with both good attack and defense. Using the Sword and Shield as their main weapons, they are the best weapon-wielders among all the classes. During battle, Warriors will show off their fearlessness with storm-like barrages of melee combat moves. After Awakening, they two-handed Great Swords to deliver devastating blows to their enemies.

Warriors are the male counterpart to Valkyriesand while the play style can at times be similar, the skills and overall feel of the class is different. One of the key differences is the retention of a high amount of battlefield agility and general movement, allowing for skilled players to dodge in and out of fights at lightning speed. Only the fiercest and most battle honed veterans carry the title of "Warrior". These men are adept in all forms of close quarter combat, clad in sturdy heavy armor, tactfully deflecting blows with sword and shield, yet remain nimble enough to dodge around the battlefield avoiding attackers as they strike deep into the enemy lines.

They also belong to the exclusive group of classes that can block all frontal damage to a point while holding their block stance. This gives them a decent bit of forgiveness for mistakes, but ultimately requires some patience to learn when to drop their defenses and begin their strike.

In solo PvP they handle themselves very well, and while not equipped with many support skills they still prove quite valuable in group PvP thanks to their survivability and zone control capacity.

Players looking for a hardy tank class with high mobility and damage when played well are advised to go the path of the warrior. While challenging to perfect the class, it's fairly welcoming to new players. A noble-looking man visited the Goyen Mercenaries one day. He turned out to be a messenger from Dandelion. Dandelion wanted to hire some mercenaries for their war against Larcsyan ally of Calpheon. Dandelion offered to accept the entire force of the Goyen Mercenaries into the order of Dandelion.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire wealth, honor, and somewhere to settle down, if they won the war. The Goyen Mercenaries were a community of those who had nowhere to go and nothing to lose or gain.

Some of them were on the wanted list, so occasional attacks on them ensued. Under a great swordsman named Goyenthe number of the mercenaries started growing.

They trained from each other's examples, swore to be brothers, and their fame also started growing. The leader Goyen was a natural for handling a great sword as big as an average man. No one else in the troop could have the same level of skill as Goyen's when it came to great swords.

Some brothers were trained by him, but they were not able to completely absorb Goyen's skills. Goyen's name alone was enough to prove his standings. The day of triumph that the Goyen Mercenaries were promised was never to come, unbeknownst to the Goyen brotherhood. Not receiving any support from the Dandelion army at all during the war, the Goyen mercenaries realized that they were being used as cannon fodder.

Goyen passed away while trying to retreat his forces in order to save the mercenaries. Goyen's great sword, which was dropped at the spot where he died, disappeared.
